VOI will be the first time I take the RT to a drag strip. Will track regulations force me to run with my hard top on?

If I'm not forced to run w/the hard top, would it be better anyway? The hard top and windows add probably 40 - 50 lbs, but I'm sure provide better aerodynamics. Seeing as how I won't be hitting high mph like the nx/super/turbo cars, would it be worth the extra weight to improve the aerodynamics?

I never noticed any real difference between open air or hard top when I drag raced with my old car that was set up pretty much like yours. It wasn't until nitrous and high mph (over 125) that I saw a difference.

I have run many places with the top off and I know that at previous VOIs it was allowed.

I always wondered that myself. With the top, you have that big fat lip hanging over the windshield and the added weight.
