Driver side mirror keeps readusting!

Hi guys,

I did a search but could find nothing.

I set the driver side mirror to the position I want. Everytime I shut off the car and get in again, the position I set never stays. I think it goes back to a default setting.

How do I go about making sure it stays put once I set it.

I didn't think the electric mirrors were auto setting.

Have you sat in the car, shut it off and started it up again to see if the mirror automatically goes to a default setting?

when i drive the car and have my stereo up loud, the vibrations usually end up readjusting my drivers side mirror.

It's probably a weak locking mechanism in the mirror. So when you close the door, it knocks itself out of position.

i have an 02 as well....and i thought i was the only one with this problem!

my driver side mirror moves whenever I go over a noticable bump on the road.... really annoying!

Your mirror is readjusting when you slam the door shut. It is due to the force of the door being shut.

Same thing with the driver's mirror on our 2001 GTS...no particular pattern noted yet.
