engine cut off problem- car won\'t stay running

My car battery died recently and I charged it back up, but now when the car starts, the engine cut off kicks in and everthing shuts down. The "alarm" light comes on when this happens but the alarm itself doesn't make any noise (no horn honking, no tail lights flashing). Pressing the alarm disarm button on the remote has no effect- I can't arm or disarm it. Is there some way to reset the alarm system?

Do a search on resetting the alarm, but I think you have to hold down both buttons on the remote for 5-10 seconds and it will reset.

That's funny...the exact thing happened to me. I ended up resetting the alarm by using the keyfob. I wonder why yours won't reset with the keyfob?

Still no luck- can someone tell me how to disconnect the alarm entirely? Is there an easy way?

My battery went real low while I was out fo the country; wouldn't even start the car. No cut off problem after re-charging it.

Nor when that same battery finally died a few weeks later, and I replaced it.

Dunno..
