Since I joined this forum I have seen many, many post regarding the depreciation of Vipers, and tons of whining again and again. I decided to do a little research to see what the basic depreciation of other cars is. I know that there are going to be some who want to argue, but I did not look into this for an argument, I was just curious. I bought the Viper because it was such a blast to drive, not an investment or to maintain a resale value, just fun. But it just kept bugging me to see so many posters keep worrying about resale and DC selling enough etc. Anyway I listed the results below. Conclusion, cars lose a lot of value after they leave the dealership. The more you pay the more you lose even if it comes from Germany or Japan.

One of the most interesting I saw was on eBay. '04 Corvettes are going for really cheap and lots of them 23% less compared to 16% Viper.

I think if you delve further into it the #'s would slide even more toward the Viper. It's amazing to see a 10 year old car still selling for 40k.
