i can get into almost any mod.
but for some reason the sidesplitter just dont look right
to me.
they sort of look like running boards or something.

Eddie,

Yes the are functional, they prevent air from spilling over from the top of the car to the underbody of the car. This improves airflow underneath the car.

See the Viper GTS-R race cars, they all have them and I modeled mine the same way.

Yes I agree a whole package will look great, be patient, I am working on other parts for the car that will compliment the splitters....
