Hi Steve, You need to pick up the shop Manuals.

1996 Service Manual "Coupe" #81-270-6151
" Powertrain Diagnostic Procedures #81-699-95020
" Body Diagnostic Procesdures #81-699-95019

They will have all the Info you need.
Hope this has helped?

If you have a 1997 or older (I think) turn on and off the ignition key 3 times in 5 sec and after the 3rd turn on leave it on. Then the check engine light will flash, count the number of flashes then there will be a pause then more flashes. Each pause seperates the digits of the code. Once the codes are flashed it will then start flashing 5 times then pause over and over to let you know its done. There are many error codes (5 pages) and i'm not sure if they are different from year to year.

I've seen a lot of posts recently about error codes. I have a 96'GTS. Exactly how would I view an error code if I thought I had one? Is it something to do with turning the key so many times back and forth? Also, who has a list of all of the error codes for this model year?
