I managed to dodge (pun intended) the rain this morning and take in the Barrett-Jasckson auto auction (I live 2-3 miles away). As soon as you walk in the front door you look right and BAM there is the new Viper Coupe. For those of you who have not had the pleasure, I can tell you that it is tremendously better looking in person. The rear end styling plain works when you walk around the car. As many have said before, even if that new bowtie car is fast, when you pull up next to one in the new Coupe that tacky fender flared Chevy will be - as the kids say - owned. There was a regular SRT-10 there (along with quad-cab Viper truck) and I have to say I really like the silver on the Coupe dashboard compared to the all black dash in the rag top. I ran into Eddie Martin our premier Viper tech in town and he says his dealer already has 22 orders for the new Coupe. I don't have the money so I would never buy a new Coupe, but for all you guys who don't like the pictures and have not yet seen the car in person, don't be worried, the new Coupe is a great looking car.

The Arizona Viper Club guys had an event at the auction today, so I am sure they can add some more comments when they make it home.

It's not gonna matter how great the new coupe looks if the Z06 owns it on the street and strip. Not to mention the track...

I don't care how fast either car is, when you park the SRT-10 Coupe next to a C6 Z06 the Chevy will be invisible.

Hey hollywood, I'm not a 'blind brand follower either.'

However, the post was "I saw the new coupe at Barrett-Jackson and it looked good."

The response was, "Oh yeah, well the Z06 is gonna **** it."

That, my friend, is hijacking. This isn't the Z06 forum.

Not only that, but the comment was the kind of thing that
people say when hiding behind a keyboard. You wouldn't say
that to a strangers face unless you were a complete tactless ass.

So the only posts in this section should be ones that are in praise of the SRT? LOL Call Fidel, I think he has a job for you down in Cuba.

I would have no hesitation to say "the Z06 will **** an SRT" as long as it was fact, from the looks of it, it's going to happen, I'm not 100% yet but I'm sure once the car debut's it will put all doubts to rest.

The way you responded in this thread is more of a hijack simply because your post has absolutely ZERO to do with this thread.

Troll.

I agree Craig. Let's make a rule that all posts, regardless of the topic, are open to posted responses that switch the subject to the Z06 or whatever the topic of the day is that you like. That way none of us can follow a thread. Yea that would be the ticket. NOT!

Keeping topics on topic is not socialistic as you imply.

Also, as you so humbly state, you have no hesitation stating future unproven vehicles as fact. Please look up the word in your collegiate dictionary. Fact is not spelled s-p-e-c-u-l-a-t-e.

Craig, you are such a blight on this forum.

Imagine this conversation,

Craig: "Hey I just got married. Isn't my wife (or husband) beautiful?"

Troll: "Your wife is a pig compared to this other girl I saw one time."

That, in effect, is what happened to this post. Like 75% of all of the posts on here. The post is about seeing the coupe at Barrett Jackson, not about the Z06.

There are 8,000 other posts talking about nothing but how incredible the Z06 is and what a pig the SRT-10 is. Is there any chance that we can talk about anything without being hijacked by the haters? I doubt it. As long as people like you can hide behind a keyboard you can continue to act without class or tact.

Eddie's a very nice guy, and the person who piqued my initial interest in the Viper.

Oh no, I live in Hollywood! Mr. Diggler sure got me good...

I don't understand why people get so uptight over the new ZO6 here. If Chevy comes out with a car that is faster than your viper, your wee wee won't get smaller.
