I'm putting a gen IV hood on my 04 and I'm getting conflicting estimates from local painters. Some state the fenders will have to blended since the car is bright silver in color and others say they can just do the hood. Which is right?

I Had no issue with the paint being as an exact match. I didn't have any issue with color on fenders. My car is an 05 and hood was put on in 08 I think. Bright silver, here is a photo and I left it big to help with seeing it. I need a better head on shot but this is what I had on photobucket. It makes the car look great and I would do it all over again. Plus hang onto your genIII hood for garage art.

Shandon car looks mean. Bottom line if they are a good shop and it doesnt match they will respray. Just make sure you have that conversation prior.
