Forgeline VR-1 Wheels

Does any one know why the Forgeline VR-1 Wheels were discontinued in 19"?

I got a set of the comp coupe wheels in 18" if you want them! but no center caps b/c they didn't make them for these wheels.

I hear the 19's rubbed pretty bad in the rear on lowered cars and had hood interference problems on the fronts (upon opening). I'm not sure why they cancelled them though, but those are fairly significant issues.

the hood problem can be fixed with using 265-275 and not 285 tires. the rubbing issue can be fixed by using the ultra low pirelli tires (as if we could ever give up our pilots)

Call Partsrack. They are trying to resurect the 18" VR1s. RE: 19's. Some come up from time to time, but the owners usually price them close to new. Forgeline does offer a 19" VR3 (looks similar to VR1). I have decided to go with the 18" Forgeline 3 pc wheel as soon as the 13" rears are released.

I called Forgeline about locating any remaining VR1 18" or 19" wheels. They mentioned the cost benefit was not in the VR1. Could that mean 3 piece wheel components are inter-mixed with different styles?

Kinda scary, what if current owners curb a rim? How do they get a replacement w/o buying an entire new set?

I have a set of 19" fully polished wheels and tires that I might sell. Going to put them on my 06FE Coupe this weekend. If I don't like them on that car they will be for sale with tires. Had the barrels also polised.

They do look pretty good on an FE though. Check out Austin's PS.

i have a set of forgeline 3 peice WC3 wheels for sale (see pic below). these wheels are brand new in the box and have never been mounted. they are fully polished. i had them custom built for me by forgeline to the same exact specs as their 18" VR-1 wheels that they used to make for street vipers. that being 18X11 in the front and 18X13 in the rear. the offsets and backspacing are identical to the street version VR-1 wheels. they inlude the black logo viper centercaps. these wheels can be used on all generations of vipers as they clear all the different types of stock brakes systems and aftermarket systems for a generations of vipers. i will sell them for $3,000 shipped and fully insured to your door via UPS or DHL.
