BONE STOCK,
2001 poduction Trac-Lok "Dana Super 44" use a 7/16" diameter ring gear retaining bolts.

96-00 use a 3/8" bolts on ring gear.

please forgive my lack of knowledge in this area. so if someone ask me what rearend gear do i have in my stock 2001
what do i say? Trac-Lok "Dana Super 44"?????
or
3:55? or 3:73??

again sorry for being clueless..

Jim, you say you have a 3:07 gear in your Dana Super 44... Dodge switched from the Dana 44 rear axle, also known as the 216 RIA to the Dana Super 44 axle, also known as the 226 RIA in 1996. The Super 44 utilizes a larger ring and pinion gear set. When changing gear ratios your dealing with the ring and pinion gears only. Hope that helps
