Does anyone make a dry sump system for a Gen 1? I did a search and found them for a Gen 2 and 3 but nothing for the gen 1.
Thanks.

I have never heard of a dry sump kit for a GEN I. Luckily GEN Is are not prone to oiling problems on the road or track. I have tracked mine without any oiling problems using R-Rated tires (kumho V700s) without any problems (knock on wood). Many others have done the same some with slicks without any Oiling problems.

Hope that helps,
Dan

Dry sumps also free up power. Evacuating the crankcase (below atmospheric pressure) and removing the oil that the rotating assembly impacts can deliver something in the 50-ish HP range on higher RPM engines. Yes, V10s are not higher RPM engines, but they have 100% more oil volume and 25% more rotating parts. Anyone have a real number, maybe from a Gen 2?

I have not heard of one but that does not mean you cannot build it.

also the Gen 1's hold more oil...10.5 quarts. This might help our situation.

Acording to Chuck (A.K.A. Viper Wizard) we should only be putting 10 quarts in. Just an FYI. :2tu:
