Gen 1 vs Gen 2 Coil packs

are they interchangable? They appear differant and the four pole has a differant plug (looks like the same as a neon) If I change the plug will they work if I retain the orginal gen1 firing sequence? (the gen 2 packs are labeled differant)

Chuck T would know(914-763-3136). He'll probably even post Part numbers. They might be the same, but newer coil packs might supersede the older style.

is chuck back in the country? The manuals and parts interchange list them as the same, but they are definitely differant

I think all they did was take I-4 and V-6 coil packs from the parts bin and bolt them to a common bracket.
