Gen 1 Window problems!!!!

I have recently installed 2 separate sets of Vmania windows on my 93 rt. Both sets do not hook into the pins when slid back. It seems that the pins are too deep in the doors or something. Strangely enough, neither side will work, and after re-installing the original canvas windows from the factory, I realized that those windows do not slide in and lock in with the pins properly either. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so is there anything that can be done to fix it?

I used a file to make the opening of the hook lower/larger.

Make sure the seals at the bottom of the window are not sticking on the door,
mine did when they were new.Fixed with lube,any plastic rubber protectant.

The passenger side on my car has a similar issue. I found that by slanting the window in (towards the inside of the car) when inserting it into the slot, it caught fine. Now I know I have to do this. It has this problem w/ all windows, not just VMania.
