Gen 2 Cruise Control Installation that uses OE style Stalk Controls

I seem to recall years ago a Gen 2 cruise control install that replaced the turn signal stalk with another Mopar OE stalk that also had the CC controls in it. I think Bill Pemberton may be been tangentially involved.

Anything like that available or just do the Snake Oyl?

I don't remember ever seeing that option. I am sure there is a way to do it. I wonder if it involves buying the snakeoyl kit and wiring the stalk in place of the buttons that come with the snakeoyl kit.

I think it was something like that. The key was finding the stalk "doner."

Or course, replacing the stalk involves the steering column which can be a nightmare due to air bag and anti-theft puzzles.

I'm not familiar with any interchangeable parts for the column. The Gen 2 columns are the same for a 94-01 Dodge Ram. All of those had buttons on the steering wheels for the cruise control.

I'd be interested to see what you can find.

I just mounted the Snake Oil buttons on the wheel and they work well for me.

^yep, good location. Same place I have mine. Love it on long trips with a bad right knee! ***** getting old......er.
