Gen 3/4 ACR Shocks fit a Gen 2 ACR?

Took the 2 week old (to use) 01 ACR over to 'GOT ONE's house and put her up on his lift to look around underneath.
We found the passenger front Shock leaking and I know the Dynamics all do eventually ( I have searched the forums).
But what I am curious about is instead of getting these rebuilt; what about swapping them out with the Shocks from a ACR on a Gen 3 or 4 Viper.
Has anyone tried this?

I was going to put a set of stock Konis up for sale. Standard blue ones that came on every car except the ACR. They will bolt in for sure.......................

I was told definitely not going to fit on a gen 2

Gen 3 &4 shocks will fit but they are much taller so ... its a no go...unless you after the SUV look?

In regard to the Gen 4 ACR shocks I already asked JonB and Chuck Tator. They seem like they will fit with some tweaking of the upper mount, but its not worth the hassle because the rear is too firm due to the lack of downforce on the Gen 2. Even if you try to get new springs to compensate the valving won't match up.
