So - I have spent a lot of time searching in the archives for previous posts about replacing the centre speakers in my '95 RT/10. I just picked up online a pair of JL Audio 6W3V3-4 subs... I am concerened that the depth of these subs are a bit too big for the stock enclosed box... it seems the old JL 6W0 were shorter in length than the newer 6W3V3 version (the new ones are 4.25" in depth - the stock centre speakers appear just over 3" in depth). Has anyone with a Gen I installed these newer JL's and can offer any tips/suggestions...? I am thinking I may need a centre-ring spacer to make this work...??? Appreciate any help!
