Given SRT has put up the 2014 Viper site with no roadster, it probably won't be available for 2014 model year. 2015 model year at best, but hopefully that is with an ACR.

I was kinda thinking the same thing over the past couple of weeks. We haven't gotten any interesting info from a club perspective since VOI when Ralph whipped out his vert .. uh, convertible design on the screen. I've been wondering now that since we're the red-headed stepchild we might as well buy MotorTrend for new info on the Viper.

Considering how Ralph was treated by the *** with the letters to Sergio, it is pretty obvious why the VCA is the last place any news on the Viper will be announced.

It all makes sense now - why info wasn't let out here first.

I've been waiting for quite some time as well, the VOI designs were nice, but provided no timetable for anything unfortunately. It would just be nice to have a tidbit on timing, either calendar year or model year, with no commitments. Would it be unreasonable to see an unveiling at the next Detroit Auto Show early next year with a fall release (maybe a first 50 produced special run like the 05 VCA editions and being available for VOI delivery?)?

1992 till 1996 , body addition of GTS besides the RT-10
2003 till 2006 , body addition of Coupe over covertible
2013 we get the Gen V, and let's hope that we may see a convertible by 2015 model year, but look over the prior years to add, figure in new crash testing and other items that will need to be done , and if SRT can get it done this quickly it will be a coup compared to previous years.

I was aware of the times it took at each stage to get a coupe, but only ugly troll Viper owners are interested in coupes, us goodlooking Viper owners need to be seen with tops down in our verts, so one would hope that the process in producing the vert could be expedited in comparison with the time periods it took to produce the coupe.

But if it takes as long as previously, then we would not see a vert until MY 2016, i.e., midyear 2015, which would be still two more years.
