Re: Gerald, just spoke to DLM\'s shop, heard your car is being dynoed today..

Well, my Doug Levin intercooled (1st one!) snake was dynoed today.... We decided to dyno it while the engine was hot and air filter ON the engine, just like it would be driven on the street to simulate normal everyday driving conditions...
The numbers are SAE RWHP....

My system is a custom intercooled package.

749.5 RWHP
752.7 RWTQ

The numbers above were made by not even bringing the engine to REDLINE. The HP was STILL CLIMBING so we decided not to redline it. We think these numbers would have gone much higher, but decided to call it a day and didn't want to push the motor too far.
This engine has NO NITROUS, 93 Octane pump gas, race fuel injected......

Thanks Doug, your are incredible!! Doug promised me at least 600 RWHP.. He aims to impress and exceed expectations..! Pictures of the graph will follow shortly.....

Now that IS some Gerbil Power!

Garald, those are very impressive #'s indeed...a couple of questions; Was your car DLM stage I supercharged before ?? I lost track if it was or not. Second, what boost PSI did you do this run at ? Lastly, is your motor bone-stock ? What other mods do you have ? Thanks a lot, enjoy your 900HP daily driver !

Nope..

9-10 psi

Stock motor internal 'cept roller rockers and some compression lowering, car has headers and cat back.

car has MUCH more potential as it is.. I just want to live...

You might be thinking about his previous car (94 rt/10), which was DLM-charged.

Gerald,
Great numbers, congrats!

So how did you lower the CR then?

The only way to do it w/o changing pistons is to use thicker head gasket and/or open up the combustion chambers.
I’m assuming you meant stock bottom end and your heads are ported, right?

Stock bottom end. I guess if you lower the CR, it's called porting then? So I guess you have a point. Stock bottem with the heads ported to lower the CR..

I must agree completely! Once cannot put a price on the sensation of your life passing right before your eyes every time you step on the go-fast pedal.

Those of us with the DLM motors know exactly what I am talking about.

Does anyone have air/fuel ratio graphs with the hp/torque curves?
