I just purchased a 2000 GTS and hope to pick it up on Friday
(if I don't wake up first)
but my insurance quotes so far seem pretty high.
I'm 44 years old, married with no claims in over 20 years, one speeding ticket 2 years ago for 15km over the limit.
I've got two quotes, one for 3942.00/year and the other for
3149.00/year.
I currently have a brand new Escalade SUT insured for 1200.00/year.
Does this seem in line with other Canadian rates?

also these quotes are for 2,000.00 deductable.

It seems absurd to have such variations between companies. I pay now around $3000 with State Farm, paid as much as $5000 before switching companies... Clean driving record, I wonder if geographical location is at issue!!

I called Meloche Monnex 1-800-731-4000 (A division of TD). I am 28, clean record, and I am purchasing in April/May. They quoted me 1149$per year ; 1500$ deductible, I have other things with them, but they are consistently lower...and I shopped around.

Good Luck and congrats.
