I know this is a super old thread, but I figured this might help someone save a good bit of money if they decide to go with clear front corners on their 1st or 2nd gen Viper. You can have a nice pair of clear front corner lenses with amber LEDs for right around $13 and some change. I did this on my GTS and I love them and they look great, plus they're amber LEDs. They even sit nice and flush with the bumper and don't protrude like the stock amber ones. First, I did a lot of digging around on ebay and found these:

Next, get some of these to plug into the factory 92-02 Viper 194 bulb socket. These are the 4 pack, but the next link is for the 2 pack.

Remove the metal studs from the stock amber lenses and thread them into these new clear housings and use a little JB Weld to secure them. In order to remove the metal studs from the stock corner lenses and also to thread them into the new clear ones, I simply tightened two 10mm nuts together on one stud and then I could back them right out of the stock amber marker light housing and thread them into the new clear LED housing. Once they're threaded into the new LED housing, simply loosen the nuts and back them off. Don't tighten them very much, it doesn't take much to secure them into the plastic housing. Go very easy with them. Next, twist the wires on the new clear units and the 194/168 harnesses together and heat shrink them. I also used some Automotive Goop sealant/adhesive to seal any open holes where water could possibly enter the lenses, just as an extra measure of caution. And just like that, for about $16 you have nice looking flush clear corners with amber LEDs.
I hope this helps you guys save some money and avoid the "Viper tax".
