Has anyone gotten the same feeling I\'ve had?

Tonight after Dinner I thought to myself...what is Chrysler doing? what if the Firepower goes into production? It seemed weird to me in a way.

The Firepower is viper based with 425 hp right? Well after that I remember what the auto shows on TV said about the Chrysler division and how it's like hidden Mercades with all the creature comforts. At that moment I thought Dodge is dissapearing! but why go through all the trouble to make a charger?

The prowler was discontinued and the Crossfire took it's place and Plymouth was no longer. Where's the viper gonna go?

Good question. Who knows. If the viper is gonna stay ppl will have to vote with their wallets and quit bitchin..

I guess Dodge will go away once Mercedes offers a one-ton diesel dually.

No reason to think branding of Dodge will be replaced by Chrysler. The Dodge brand has a very positive market image Viper, RAM, Durango, Magnum, Neon and Stratus.

The Firepower targets the Corvette by providing like performance at a like price(HEMI is less expensive than our Viper's V10) with much better styling.

Depends on how your brain sees the glass half full or half empty.

The Detroit News today reports that there are no plans for the production of the Firepower concept car.
