Has anyone installed the 2\" seat lowering kit from Northwind on a \'00 GTS?

I'm trying to install a Northwind Engineering 2" seat lowering kit on my '00 GTS (non-ACR). Are the "posts" on the kit supposed to be pointing up? Or down (resting on the floor)? The installation is not going very well. I can't seem to get the holes to align. Does anyone have any secrets/tricks? Is this kit supposed to fit all GTS models? The instructions say "96 GTS, 97 RT-10". I've called Northwind twice, left messages, and have not received a call-back. HELP!!!

Thanks

Ray

Pretty sure they extent up. I also got the seat another 1.5" back in the following way. Find where the seat frame contacts the rear of the car. Cut a 3 inch wide strip from the carpet and insulation. Hammer the back of the floor pan where the seat rail still contacts (just the corners). Now bolt through the slot in the seat frame instead of the holes. This will take some fighting but is worth the extra leg room. I am 6'8" and am now comfortble.
