So I'm thinking I would be able to take better advantage of my mods and make more power if I rev higher in the rpm range.
here is my current setup:
97 GTS (but on a cast piston motor)
Roe S/C 6.5#, VEC3, custom W/M, Borla headers and catless exhaust, smooth tubes and K&Ns, 1.7 HS rockers, JM stage3 heads, 3.55 gears, Fidanza, short-shift kit
I dyno'd with this setup as I was tuning my w/m system. My HP curve is a steady slope that does not level off before the stock 6000rpm redline... at all. In fact the car pulls hard past redline, but the rev limiter puts an end to the fun (6125, set with the VEC).
My question is, is there a reason I can't raise the rev limiter to 6250 or even 6500 if I'm still making power?
TIA
