I have owed a 2000 RT/10 previously. Here's my comparison of the two:

1/4 mile: SRT, slight advantage, for me, 12.1 vs. 12.2)
Braking: SRT, far superior
Cornering: SRT, far superior
Convenience: SRT, far superior (roof, glove box, trunk space)
Stereo: SRT, far superior
Gawk factor: SRT, superior
Oil change: SRT, far easier
Relic factor: RT/10, far superior

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. :)

Unclgreggy,
What size/model are those HRE wheels?
How much have you lowered your car? and how (Eibach?)?
By the way, your car looks amazing!

don't know how much it was lowered but it is certainly over an inch more like two or three. used eibach springs and moton two way adjustable coilovers. Hres are 19f and 20rear. Thanks for the compliment.

So Said SLITHRN:

2 heat issue questions?

Is the exhaust cooling (high flow cat swapout/relocate) seen as a defect/TSB by DC, do they agree its a problem and fix it for you under warantee, or is it something you had to pay for yourself just to be able to use the car more.

Obviously the Heat issue is for the 2003's, did they make any changes on the 2004's to address this issue

thanks

I'm on this thread for any and all information regarding the heat issues as well. If anyone could address SLITHRN's concerns....that'd be great.

The Viper SRT10 is a great performance sports. It will out perform a GEN II in every category of performance. The top is easy to put up or down. I still have two GEN II's one is an ACR the other a GT2. The SRT is much more enjoyable to drive.

Hmmm, this may seem a bit subjective (nah, it's really objective), but might I suggest that you run and don't walk to your nearest Viper dealer? Believe me, you wouldn't want to procrastinate only to find out that when you get there they’re all gone. The SRT-10 is that damn good! You asked for an 'honest opinion' and you've just got one.

Good luck in your decision and post some pics when you pick her up. ;)
