How to remove factory floor mat hook on driver side?

Title says it all. How is the floor mat hook removed? (Car was ordered with the protection group option and shipped with mats).

I'm going to install my Lloyd mats from the 2006 that IMHO look way better than the factory mats...

Lift up on it and slide backwards it is an L shaped pin tip clip.

Thanks! With some good illumination I figured it out. Pull up the hook, and you will see the locking mechanism. Push in a screwdriver to open the snap lock, and voilà!

In this case pictures say more than words. Here's a picture of the factory hook and the driver side Lloyd mat (left) and factory mat (right).
