Did anyone see the new zo6's power curve. I saw it in the car & dyver article. It seems as though its pretty steep and up in the power band. Whereas the SRT's is more linear. The SRT is more powerfull down low and has more torque. It's an interesting matchup even with the z's lower weight. Can any technically gifted persons chime in? Taking into consideration/comparing the way these to cars generate the "same" power.

Hp vs HP isn't the issue rather than HP vs weight.

The Z06 weighs 250lbs less the the coupe. While the SRT makes 500tq+ it only has a 3.08 final drive whereas the Z06 has 475tq but a much lower 3.45 final drive ratio. So in other words the Z06 makes it's power at higher rpms, with the 3.42's it will reach it's powerband/redline much quicker than the SRT/coupe.

Just have to wait until the automotive press gets hold of the press pool cars from Chevy, and then they start getting out on the street and to the dynos. Late summer / early fall.
We'll see.......

Still almost a year away.. For now we still are king of the Hill. Besides Dodge is recalling all Srt-10's for paxton retro fits!!!!!!

so i install 3.55 gears and put my little light 170 pound frame inside - then
go zzzzzzzzz hunting. i dont think to many could beat me. what do you think. i
keep hearing about weight, hp and the rest of all the numbers but i'm gonna
race em with my car, not on a note pad. the driver can make a ton of difference
if any of you guys buy one or have a friend that does, i'm ready - bring it on.

i'm so tired of hearing about it that i cant wait to race one, gonna whip its
arss even with my under powered srt/10. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
