Hurst PT# Question for Wizard

I am looking for a sort throw shifter and decided on the Hurst. My Question is there seems to be two different shifters available for the Viper. Part # P4510168(Hurst Shifter) from Mopar that boasts a 40 % reduction in throw but does not accept the stock shifter handle, and part # 3915055 from Hurst that boasts only a 30 % reduction in throw but will accept a stock handle. Are these claims true? Can I purchase an after market shift handle like the MGW and fit the Mopar model which has a shorter throw? I have a 98 RT/10 and it seems the only knobs available for the Mopar version is Fang no Sneaky Pete. Hey it’s nice to match…and MGW's are great.

The only Hurst shifter that we get is the P4510168 which is used on the Comp Coupe and most everyone uses the MGW knobs. The MOPAR knob is cheap looking and the stock one will not fit.
