I am having issue with the secondary front hood latch not releasing.

Lately I have had a problem with the secondary hood latch not releasing. The hood will pop up fine when I pull the lower latch, but then the secondary latch will not go. I was wondering if there was some sort of alarm interlock that was malfunctioning, but if I stick a screw driver in there and push on the latch it opens no problem. Once the hood is open I cannot duplicate the problem so it does not appear to be a bind in the pivot. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Mine was hanging up and I greased it a little. Problem solved.

Also....sometimes my hood springs UP far enough to bind the secondary latch. A little slight downward pressure on the front of the hood and the secondary releases.

Ditto with Andrew. Look for all of the rub points, and grease them up with a good chassis grease. Big difference.

Same problem with mine. Greased the latches and rub points and problem solved.
