The Borla system does drone quite a bit, but since I have a GTS it probably isn't as pronounced as it would be on your Gen I. There are a few guys down here that have Borla's and Hi-Flows and even some without the cats. Pretty darn loud.

It is the internal venting of the rotor that determines directionally how they are installed. The slots can be in either direction depending on the manufacturer. Usually the external slotting runs against the venting direction instead of parallel to it to create less weak points in the rotor. StopTechs are made that way and the slots are in the same direction on the car as yours when installed properly. I'm pretty sure the Brembros are the same so yours are correctly installed as pic'd.
