Thanks to a balanced budget on our race program (not easy because our program alone costs $40K a year to run and we try to make it affordable!) we have instituted a new incentive for folks.

While we've had record signups for this years racing program (24 full season sign ups and over 60 others!!) we know many wait to see how the weather looks before committing. This causes us problems because some show up unannounced or last minute - it screws up our awards and class groupings.

While we always adjust and want to allow for some laste arrivals, we do want to encourage advance notice, it makes for a better event. So to help, we're offering an incentive so that you don't have to worry as much about bad weather.

While I can't remember an event we've ever called before on account of weather, our last road course was rained out in the afternoon. We've decided whenever an event gets rained out, we will offer the next event at 1/2 price to those participants. This is true for road course and autocross.

For autocross, drizzle doesn't stop us, it's actually VERY good to practice in the rain. The same is true for road courses, although consistent or heavy rain can become a problem. But thanks to our sponsors, we're able to help offset the cost of offering half day events to those who were effected by rain!

And for those who signed up for the whole season, we're offering $130 credit on your next full season purchase (calculating the discounts you already receive for the full season).

We hope this takes the sting out of an event effected by rain. And in most cases, since the rain usually only effects part of our days, you'll get two race days for a modest cost.

You're right, rain is actually very good for practice. But it's bad for detailing afterwords!
