The Ind/Ky VCA's monthly meeting will be held at NOON (EST) on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 in (or around) the Tower at Putnam Park during the Viper Days weekend. This is a WONDERFUL opportunity to come out and meet the Club members AND the Viper Days participants and vendors. There will be all types of Vipers running, from stock to GTS-R. In all, some 60-80 Snakes will be present !!! Guests are WELCOME.

Putnam Park is located near (1.5 miles SOUTH of) Mt. Meridian,IN...which on US 40, just 3-4 miles East of the intersection of US 40 and Ind 231. One can take US 40 West from Indy's I 465 beltway to Mt. Meridian OR travel West on I 70 from Indy, to Exit 41 (Cloverdale/Greencastle Exit), and go NORTH (toward Greencastle) about 5 miles to US 40, then go East to Mt. Meridian.

It should be a great weekend weatherwise. See YOU there !!!

UPDATE: I have just confirmed that the the Putnam Park Concession Stand will be open for sales from 7:30 AM til 4:30 PM on Fri., Sat., and Sunday ( per Courtney Thomas, Viper Days). This is GREAT as it allows one to STAY LONGER and refuel along the way. It should be noted that the catered meals that one will see being served are for PAID Viper Days Participants only...guests (such as Yours Truly) will need to visit the retail stand.

Weather should be FINE..slight chance of PM showers on Sat...and a few scattered showers across Central Indiana on Sunday morning.

My spies tell my there will be some AWESOME Vipers...with SIGNIFICANT RACE histories at this event !!!!

Even if you can't make the VCA business meeting on Saturday at noon...GET OUT THERE SOMETIME THIS WEEKEND !!!!

Spent MOST of the day at Putnam park...the event is AWESOME!!!! It REALLY gets under way tomorrow, and goes through Sunday. There are some GREAT Vipers, drivers, and support folks there. If you own a Viper, love a Viper, or want a Viper...go to Putnam Park tomorrow and watch them GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!...and if you live in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, or Michigan, it's an EASY drive with a tremendous return awaiting you !!!

Having the IN/KY VCA Club meeting at the track was a great idea. Members got to see that their Vipers can be run safely and not get sdamaged but more importantly they can learn how to drive them SAFELY!!!
The VCA sponsors Viper Days for only one reason - this driving school benefits all attendees. They learn more about their Viper and how to be a safer and more observant driver.
We welcome all VCA Clubs to hold a meeting at our events. You are all welcome ..... just call Courtney and we will have a meeting room and plenty of smiles and helping hands available!!
