iPod / iPhone adapter for a 2004

What's the deal? after searching I can't figure out if they work or don't. It looks like there is a Mopar kit, but it doesn't officially support the Viper?

Has anyone successfully installed a kit?

My goal is to charge my iPhone, and use a line in rather than the FM tuner type. Ideally I'd like to have the wire run into the center console.

What are my options?

From everything that I have read the kit Does NOT work for the viper. Some have installed with success but it seems most can't get it to work properly. I would say you might be better off replCing the head unit with one that has an MP3 jack.
