Ah memories... Tim's car was one of at least 3 built by Lou Gigliotti for Trans-Am, and then found their way into World Challenge by 1998. Terry Borchellor and Ron Johnson drive them to several victories, with Tim Allen entering a race himself. My '97 GTS, driven then by Neil Hannemann and Bobby Archer, was no match for these cars, but they were outlawed by SCCA in '99.
