Our meetings have grown to an immense size topping 130+ and reaching nearly 60 Vipers on occasion. It's indeed been a long standing search to find a new location that fits us as well as our current meeting location used to. The search may be over as we've found a place large enough to accommodate us, can do private food bills, special parking for us, has great amenities, is safe, has parking in good view of our room, and a private room with stage. Could it be true?!

We've visited this location and it's VERY cool! Not making too many assumptions, but I think most people will easily prefer it to our old location. And it's probably closer to our populous. We're going to be testing this new location during our next meeting on July 10th. Meeting time is the usual 7:30pm, and you're free to come earlier as most folks usually do (people begin to arrive around 6).

Here is the PDF flyer with all the details, overview, and address: http://www.illinoisvipers.com/documents/2013/New Meeting Location Pilot.pdf

Let's have a big turnout on July 10th to check this place out and to show this neighborhood that the IL Viper Club has arrived.... ;.)

    See you there!

For any of you coming from the north, like I am, Google Maps says this is only 4 more additional minutes of travel. Not as bad as I had thought!

I'm leaving the country on Saturday and have plans Wednesday so I won't make any more meetings this year. I hope it's not my fault that we don't hit 60. Have fun - new location sounds great!

Yeah! It was pretty awesome to see all of them so tightly packed in that parking lot. I can't wait to see the one they took from the roof, but here are a few I took from tonight.

Awesome pictures! Well, you guys did it. The final number was actually 62 Vipers! So we easily broke the 60 car record. Wow. This is an epic achievement.

For the new venue, we have kinks to work out. Frankly I wasn't happy with the delay in food. Also there was a repeat at the mic as I was speaking (people didn't notice) but it made it impossible for the speakers to talk because of the repeating in their ear. We'll plan on working out the kinks but I'm not settled on this location, we're still continuing our search. For now we'll call it home.

Big accomplishment! Amazing. People drove from hours away!

The NEW bar is 65 cars. Even a year ago I would have said it's impossible. But everyone got goose bumps as car #62 showed up. I sense 65 is achievable.

We have a special award for all those who brought vipers in addition to an additional gift to all those who brought cars.

    Amazing!

Yeah, I'm excited to see it next month with better parking, serving, and seating/curtain setup. We ordered, were given our drinks, and then we were not visited for nearly an hour and a half before we were told our food got lost and they couldn't promise us prompt replacement food. Ended up eating nearby after the meeting, which ultimately made it quite a long night. It was easy to see why our order got lost, so I'm suspending my final thoughts until next month.

But it was still great to see so many Vipers and friends, as always. Here are my pictures...

The VOI9 Coupe was looking good! Were ACR wheels standard on this?

And... Did anyone notice the lightweight friend hiding across the parking lot? A Krypton Green Lotus Exige - very rare & nice looking!

Alex, for some reason, this new place didn't feel like it did at Fuddruckers. Glad to hear we will continue looking. I have been terrible at making the meetings, and didn't even know we were looking for a place. I may have some suggestions I will send your way.

Something good came out of my shoulder injury I suppose. Didn't have to travel to MI and was able to make this meet :)

Love the panoramic picture Greg! I didn't even think to do that. Also that Lotus Exige is my brothers car, he wanted to come check out the new location. I wasn't a huge fan of the parking situation either.

    Talk about sibling rivalry!

If he isn't already, your brother should join LotusTalk: There is a great community of Lotus owners in the MKE-CHI & surrounding areas. They go on lots of drives & he would have a blast if he is interested in hooking up with other Lotii.
