VOI was great. Fantastic weather. While a little hot, it was dry, and just a little breeze. Track conditions perfect. We got to run 3/4 of the main oval, then ducked down into the infield road course. The AutoX was higher speed than usual, and incorporated a solom course. The pavement had been sealed, so traction was limited. Lots of fun spinouts, and tail wagging. Nothing to hit, so we got to hang it out a little. Got to drive Ram SRT/10' with both stick and auto. Very impressive, tight vehicle. Road trip was a little dull, but the track was rocking.
All attendees got a bonus certificate to purchase many Chrysler vehicles at 1% UNDER INVOICE. A really great deal. Any incentives or rebates were on deducted from that base price.
The hotel was fantastic. Just the right size. No getting lost, but beautiful grounds to mosey around. Convention center plenty large. Food started out run of the mill, but got better each day. Steak and Lobster for dinner, with Creme Brule and fresh berries for desert. FREE BOOZE each night, and wine with dinner. Very well done.
Very funny entertainment. They featured that comic "John" that does the "That thing got a HEMI" advertisement. He was hilliarous. He hung around a Billy Bobs and we got a chance to speak with him at length.
Dodge did a fantastic time at this VOI. Yes some people will find things to complain about, but overall it was a great party. Made some new friends, and got to refresh some older acquaintances.
We even got to see the Raminator monster truck mush a corvette. Great fun.
New coupe was very cool. Dodge said it was only a concept, but it sure looked production ready. They were looking for comments. Just as for SRT/10 they will look for feedback from current owners prior to finalizing the car. Lots of people would buy it as is, but others wanted some changes. SRT team was listening to everyone's comments.
