Dave is correct!

ps....the quality of the CAST headers on Gen-1 thru 1997 Gen-II cars is quite good. team Viper was quite proud of the flow-rate of these headers. The "shorty tube" headers only gained an average +4HP, so Dodge never even claimed the gain, above 1996-97 450HP.

You will see good gains simply by goint to hoses/filters/hi-flow mufflers, which adds an honest +25-30 HP over stock in 92-95!

JonB is certainly right again!! I have the dyno sheet to prove it on my 94 RT. See the Viper Racing/Dyno Results/Time Slips section off the main menu for a look at my recent dyno sheet. I gained almost 40 RWHP with smooth tubes, K&N's, and removing the mufflers only. Not to bad for so little $$$ to have it running close to 445 to 450 HP!!!

Yes, it does bolt up to the heads, but it doesn't bolt up to the factory exhaust on your car. You need to cut the factory exhaust at the cats and weld in the "header-to-cat" pipes.

Too much effort for what you gain, IMHO.

Hey Rob, I didn't realize you already purchased the headers.

What you may want to do is: install the headers, put your factory exhaust pipes on the shelf intact (or sell them), and then graft high-flow cats and mufflers to the header-to-cat pipe that comes with the headers.

The horsepower increase would be slight, but more importantly, these headers won't bolt up to the '92-'97(?) factory exhaust.
