Muffler delete a good thing?

Ok, I love the loud sounding exhaust but if you had a choice, would you do a delete with hi-flo cats or would you get headers/muffler and no cats? Is their a big difference in the sound?? Also, would deleting the muffler mess up your "back pressure" that many say you need? :usa:

i think it does affect tone and balanves the sound out from side to side. but not volume

I went with Belanger headers, no cats and the Mopar cat back exhaust - it sounds great. Straight piped is just too loud.

I replaced just the back muffler with straight pipes and now I get a loud drone between 1500 & 1700 when I'm tooling around slowly with my "Stewart Smally" wife. I only notice it when she's in the car though.
