Need help in California

This is a call for help. A guy I know was in Calif on vacation in the 87 Holiday Rambler Class A Motorhome and blew an engine. He's a VietNam vet, a great guy and not very wealthy. To cut to the quick his motorhome is still out there. Does anyone know of a mechanic who might be able to help him out. The guy he talked to was quoting him a outlandish price to fix his 454 Chevy engine. The location of the motorhome is in Vacaville.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
