I recently bought a set of heads that I was told have been ported and where thought to be hennessey heads but he was un sure. But I plan on sending them out anyways to get rebuilt and ported and milled. Before I send them out I need to pick a valve spring to have put on the heads. So right now im looking at 3 cams. My car will be a street car her in cali that will see a 100 shot and have to pass smog.
Here are the cams Crower stage 2 and 3 and a GG comp cam grind that he like to run on street car but is a bit big and Im not sure it will pass the sniffer
Stage 2 - Street/Strip, lope at idle, emphasis on mid to top end power.
INT/EXH - Dur @ .050” Lift: 230°/230° RR: 1.7/1.7 Gross Lift: .558”/.558” LSA: 114°
Stage 3 - Race/Strip, rough idle, ECU mods recommended.
INT/EXH - Dur @ .050” Lift: 238°/238° RR: 1.7/1.7 Gross Lift: .587”/.587” LSA: 114°
GG comp cam
Comp Cams hydraulic roller:
3634 intake lobe / 232 @ .050" / .600" with a 1.7 rocker
3635 exhaust lobe / 236 @ .050" / .605" with a 1.7 rocker
114 lobe separation, and order it with 4 degrees of advance ground into it.
Which cam do you think will work best in my street car
Now on to springs Im not looking to get a spring that requires a whole bunch of machining to get to work and titanium retainers and all that. This is just a buget build looking to make good power. So far I found these pac racing springs that a direct drop in that retain stock retainers. Would these work with the cams above? Thanks for your help and suggestions
