Please forgive me for asking this as I am sure it has been addressed MANY times already, but I am having a bit of trouble finding the post that answers my question in the search function.
I just got a new srt-10 ('04) today. I currently drive a CTS-V with a Corsa exhaust as my everyday car. The difference the corsa made on the V is amazing!!
Here's the question: which exhaust sounds the best on the srt-10? I find the stock one a bit...well... unexciting. Its loud but not real mean in my opinion.
The B&B web file shows a srt-10 that sounds better than stock almost exotic sounding (I think, can't really tell with the compression of the file)
Corsa says the track is the way to go, they said its quietier than stock at cruise but agressive to WOT, with no drone and less heat?
Again sorry for the NEWBIE stupid question, but your help is appreciated greatly!
Thank you,
MOLDY

Moldowan welcome. The age old question of which exhaust to do? I have the Corsa track with tha Randon Tech high flow cats and love it. But just search and read there are a few opptioins. Eitherway have it done by some one who knows what they are doing, trust me and others on this. Again welcome and let the mods begin.

Moldowan,
I would do a search on the subject b/c it's repeated so many times. I got great advise b/f my install and I think the best was "you gotta hear it first, and then choose".
I did the Corsa and used my existing CC. The guys at Corsa give you the best info on the install which cost me 300.00.
Mine is loud but not too loud. I do have a little more hp.
But the best is.....it's so much cooler in the car especially when I was already hot here in Florida.
Good Luck,
Mike

Moldowan,
I put the Roe side exhaust with stock cats on my'03 and it sounds much more agressive and louder at idle and full throttle but it is quiet at 60mph if you are in 6th gear.
But the best thing is the incredible reduction in side sill and interior heat reduction, so now I can touch the sill with my calf or hand after a 25min drive and no burn.. SOTP feels stronger thru the gears also. I love it, wife not thrilled but ok.
There are numerous choices, do your research, good luck.

I wouldn't recommend the Corsa track if you plan on getting headers. Exhaust flow with headers overwhelms the Corsa's ability to deal with the sound.

Personally, I would do the Mopar Race exhaust. It's a 3 inch exhaust system with the catalytic converters deleted. The sound is awesome, and the exhaust comes at a bargain price! To go along with the exhaust, you will need some 02 simulators to prevent the check engine light from coming on.
