I'm thinking of doing part of the River Ramble Cruise with Darren and the PA guys this Saturday 8/10. We could meet at Tramontin Harley Davidson exit 4 Rte 80 at 8:30 then hook up with the PA Guys in East Stroudsburg / Marshal Creek and then cruise to Milford with them. From Milford you could ride back to the Chatterbox with me for lunch or continue on with Darren and crew for lunch at Lackawaxen and finish out the ramble cruise. Let me know if this is something you would consider ? Here is the proposed route I would take and the original thread.

The Blue Ribbon on Culver Lake could be another possible lunch location.

We will be meeting at the Rite Aid #01800 parking lot located at 20 Village Center, East Stroudsburg PA.This shopping Plaza also contains a Weis Market. It is at the intersection of routes 209 and 402 close to Marshal's Creek, PA. We will be leaving at 9:30 for what will be a scenic ride up the Delaware River to Milford, PA crossing the Delaware several times going back and forth into NY and PA. We will be stopping at a few points of interest like Hawk's Nest and the Roebling Bridge. I will pick a spot for a quick lunch and we will be on our way on scenic route 97 in NY in route some small river towns like Narrowsburg, Cochecton, and Callicoon. We will then cross back into PA and head down route 191 passing through Honesdale, Hawley, and Lake Walenpaupack. I am extending an invitation to all participants of this cruise to stop by my house afterwards (which has good access to major roads back home) for a cookout, lake and boat activities, and a Bocce Tournament. Hope to see you then. Please RSVP if your are coming and also bringing someone to give me a head count.

Just want to let everyone know that some people are heading over to Cops and Rodders in Hacketstown in the Lowes parking lot tomorrow Thursday night 8/15 around 5pm the weather looks amazing ! I am not sure if I can make it but I'm also watching the weather for the Bergen C&C brunch this Sunday.

From the site...

Hello everyone,

As I hinted to many of you at our last meet in Ridgewood, we are doing something a little bit different for our next meet.

The Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Ramsey will be hosting us for brunch next Sunday, August 18th. The plan right now is to start the meet as we did in Ridgewood at 9:30 AM. The Shannon Rose will be opening early just for us, and a special brunch menu will be available starting at 10 AM. The meet will run through 12 Noon.

As with all of our meets, we welcome all exotic, classic and sports cars.

Of course, all of the conditions for the High School apply here as well. We do not allow revving engines or tearing out of the parking lot. I thank everyone for cooperating last time out and I ask that we all please continue to follow these rules moving forward.

The official address for the Shannon Rose Ramsey is 1200 Route 17 North - Ramsey, NJ. The Shannon Rose does have multiple locations, so be sure to remember that we are in Ramsey this Sunday!

More on this Sunday's C&C.

Hello everyone,

I received a number of questions regarding this Sunday's event at the Shannon Rose Ramsey, so I'm hoping this answers all of them:

There will be seating both inside the restaurant as well as on the outside patio, for those who wish to keep an eye on the cars in the parking lot. You can also request for your food to be brought out to the parking lot itself. There are both breakfast and lunch menus that will be available, and you can order whatever you want. There is no fee per person; it is based on what you order. There is also a special drink menu that will be available inside the restaurant and on the patio (alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the parking lot). The staff will either offer to run a tab for you or you can pay as you go.

They have informed us that we can start showing up as early as 9:00 AM in the parking lot. Officially, I have us starting at 9:30, and the food will become available at their special opening time - 10:00 AM. The parking lot and restaurant will be open just for us, so no other customers will arrive until after 11:00 AM.

Once again, here is the address:

1200 Route 17 North

Ramsey, NJ

Please do not hesitate to ask any other questions you may have. I am looking forward to Sunday morning!

Thanks,

Tony Boniello

Andover police seek information about speeding sports car

Posted: Aug 19, 2013 10:42 AM EDT Updated: Aug 19, 2013 10:42 AM EDT

ANDOVER TWP. — Police are asking the public for information about a sports car that sped over 110 mph on Route 206 on Friday night.

At about 11:30 p.m., a township police officer was on patrol on Route 206 North when he saw a car commit a minor motor vehicle violation while traveling south into Andover Borough.

The officer turned around to stop the car, but was not immediately able to locate it. The officer continued to drive down Route 206 South into the center of Andover Borough where the car was then located passing vehicles on the double yellow lines at speeds in excess of 85 mph, according to police.

The car was a significant distance ahead of the officer and was going about 100 mph through the tunnel, police said. The officer continued to try to catch up as the car headed toward Byram, but the car was passing vehicles and was going in excess of 110 mph near the Byram border.

“Due to the reckless manner the vehicle was driving and the potential risk to other motorists, Andover patrol relinquished and Byram Police Department was notified,” police said.

The car turned onto Tamarack Road in Byram Township, but could not be located. The car is described as a dark-colored sports car, possibly a Corvette, with a loud exhaust.

Persons who may have witnessed the incident, have a description of the car and/or have information related to the incident are asked to contact Andover Township Police headquarters at 973-383-5544. Tips can also be submitted anonymously at http://atpd.org/anonymous_tip.htm.

That sounds like fun. Maybe we'll do this and save the Chatterbox for a different weekend.
