ODBII and no cats

Just got my emmissions test done and there was no exhaust sniff test done on my '96. The testing station merely plugged into my ODBII connector and it read whatever it needed from the car's computer.

Whats the opinion amoung those of you about going with Hi-Flo Cats versus no Cats, would the information stored in the computer be changed w/o cats and fail the car in the future?

I searched the forums and didn't locate any info before asking this question.

w/o cats but with sims, computer input/output should be normal. I'm catless (when I'm on the track) with Apex Snakebox (sims) - no problem!

no emmissions test needed here, simply gave me a waiver. I cut the cats and rear muffler and replaced w/straight pipe. now sounds the way it should. no sims and no check light.
