Oil Leak, Pan?

I started noticing an oil puddle under the front of my 1998 GTS I climbed under the car and wiped off everything. I started the car and noticed oil seeping from the front oil pan bolts. I took it to a dealership with two good Viper techs. They changed the cam sensor gasket and oil pan gasket (warranty). I got the car home, and noticed another puddle of fresh oil on the floor underneath. I heard a rumor that some of the oil pans became porous over time? Any suggestions? Thanks

More likely the timing cover.

Is the cam sensor cover and timing cover the same? Thanks

The cam sensor is inserted into the timing cover. I think there is just an o-ring, at least on GenI.

I had 3 porous oil pans on my '98. Was coming thru the front of the pan. Was a PITA. I finally upgraded to a 2001 10 quart pan w/baffles, trap doors and an ACR filter adapter. No more problems.

Thanks for the replies. The dealer called today and said that it's the crankshaft seal. It sounds like a big job? I should have it back later in the week.

I wish I had a warranty for these crazy one off problems. I hope I don't have problems in my first year of ownership.
