Hold on... wasn't the Nissan GT-R supposed to anhilate almost anything short of a F-22 Raptor, and with so much electronic gimmics to power a small football stadium? :dunno:

I can only wonder what would and ACR do to the Nürburgring.

Should we infer that the Challenger is better suited to the dragstrip? Are those times over 3 laps? That's a 7 sec per lap advantage for the ACR? Someone on the other site said the DaVia car was having elec probs?

How may ACR's will we see pulling trailers? :eater:

Well this is pretty humbling so far for the GT-R as it was only 1 second per lap faster than a 996 GT3 (mind you, not even a 997). Keep your eye on those two. I hae the feeling that GT3 will beat the GT-R in some places because the driver of the GT3 had no experience at RA and was gaining 3 seconds a lap. Whereas Tony Swan, who is editor for car and driver, has done the 1 lap for several years now and been to road america several times.

The real world tends to be a harsh and cruel reality.

Wet skidpad test? What kind of contrived BS is that? Is that some attempt to level the playing field for otherwise slow AWD entries like the Nissan GTR? Oh yeah, it's Sunday, let me go record the Daytona Wet Skidpad 500 on TV today ... don't wanna miss that.

Tire Rack s__ks -- not the place where real performance drivers should buy tires (I hope they read this).

Hey Tire Rack, here's some ideas: How about Indy cars on a wet skidpad? Or, how about GP Super Bike Racing Motorcycles on a wet skidpad??? That would be really cool, wouldn't it.

Apparently the Hennessey Viper took first in both events today at Mid-America Motorplex... looking for the official results...

There you go. I really hope that they can recover after the wet skid pad, because it's 130 points behind the leader as what's left is 13 races, a dry skid pad and two drag races. And I doubt that we have the edge in drag racing.
