I have done several of these installs without problems, here are some answers to the many questions raised.
The system will work on 1996-02 Gen 2 vipers. It is currently certified for
the 00-02 models and we are waiting to do some 96-99's to submit the paperwork.
It currently fits all Gen 2's and will carry the same certification.
The only vehicle that has had a problem to my knowledge was a vehicle that was tuned on a dyno for more power with a Dastek module. Before this it went 7,000
miles with no problems. Could be they ran it too lean or pulled out to much timing. We recommend a complete check of your engine before any install. If there is a weak link in your motor you will want to find it before the install.
RWHP on a stock engine has varied between 530 and 580 rear wheel. The only differance between cars was cat-back systems. A bone stocker without any exhaust mods should make at least 530rwhp.
Cars with headers or cylinder mods have made up to 700rwhp but reqiure additional tuning. Depending on the extent of your mods you may need bigger
fuel pumps and additional injectors (or bigger injectors and a calibrator).
A really high hp setup will require a better fuel delivery system.
The system runs 7pds max but can be upgraded to 10pds plus with a pulley change and other upgrades. We do not recomend more than 7psi on a cast piston car.
Every car we have done has taken 18-24 hours to install. Thats what it takes to do it right. A base system could be done in 16hrs after you have done a few.
The install is simple but the fuel system upgrade and and intercooler install
take time to fit. We offer the base system installed for $9999 plus $300 for before and after dyno testing and data logging.
This system makes power with rpm and being that it is underdriven in stock form
the biggest power gains are from 3000-6000 rpm.
The system comes with a 3yr 36,000 mile parts defect warranty.
