Made it out to Fuddruckers for the IL VCA Meeting this evening. Met some wonderful people (thanks Dennis @ Roanoke Motors for bringing my original window sticker to the meeting!) and it was clear that the IL Chapter is a great one and it looks like there is a fun year ahead of everyone! The trip wasn’t without incident; I did get pulled over for no plate, although I didn’t get a ticket since I am still under the 30 days.

The SVS team (Ron Jr. and Ron Sr.) made it to the event as well as an ALMS driver who pilots a Porsche 997 GT3 in the series, I swore his name was 'Waylon' but I dont think that is right, anyone catch it?

Here are a couple pictures. I did miss out getting pictures of a red Ford GT and a white Lamborghini Diablo that showed up later (I think a husband and wife team brought these?).

Wayland Joe is his name and he is a hell of a race car driver.

Nice turn out. Wait until the sun is shining you'll have both the front of the restaurant filled as well as the other side of the restaurant filled. This chapter has the most participation anywhere.

Scott,

I would like to hold the Dyno day at SVS for the Il VCA members this year.

We can put something together on our own and who ever wants to show up can do so.

You have directed these in past years. What do you think?

I think that "Supra" looks nicer than stock! I would have loved to see the fit and finish in person. Maybe next month.

Ron,

Keep me posted. I'd show.

Scotty,

The car sounds good. The drive-by was a bit slow though... :)

All,

Did the SRT model with the dodge exec signatures, (that I won) really get auctioned off for 700 plus at the Holiday party? Hmmmmmmmmmm, let the bidding begin?

Ron,thats a good idea,Now that you've got a dyno.
I would say make it a week or two after the next meeting.
I'm sure Bill will let U talk about it.Lets kick it up a notch and combine a car show/cook out/wash.The dyno usually blows a whole day.Maybe Scott washmaster can set up a bikini wash.We better make sure its not on a ilVCA event day,or all their good food will go to waste.I'm sure we can muster a couple sponsors for food and dyno prizes.
No king of the dyno, that would be a conflict of interest with YOU know WHO.lol
How bout that ride in the STREAKER you keep promissing?
Told Wayland i'm looking for a 03 Merci(orange)and show's me his new orange one.
Butch is tough to beat,I got the A$$ kicking down, now i've got to bump my salary up to 10mil yr.

As long as the date doesn't conflict with anything else I
m doing, I'll be there. I've never had the car dynoed or met any other viper owner, so it'll be pretty fun

I have always wondered the height difference of an RT/10 and a GTS, and the last picture shows quite a difference. My red RT/10 is right next to the Magnum, and it looks to be a LOT lower than the red GTS right next to it. Is this more of an illusion or is there really that big a difference. The 2 gray cars on the end are virtually the same height(GTS and RT/10)
