It is an American Airlines Air Bus flight 587. It had just taken off from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, bound for Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic. 246 passengers on board, and 9 crew mwmbers. Crashed into a residential area. 4 buildings on the ground are also on fire. It is reported by witnesses that they heard an explosion, saw one side of plane on fire, and the plane took a spiral downward fall. All airports, tunnels, bridges, are closed here in New York.
Military F-16's are flying overhead, the Coast Guard is out in the waters, unsure if this is a terrorist act at this time.
