Just received a set of Polk Audio DB650 speakers. Any installation hints (wiring, etc.)?

Not much too it really. Just unscrew the covers and pull out the factory speakers. Cut the wires from the factory
speakers (leave a tiny bit of colored wire on each soldered connector as a reference so you can see which wire goes to + and which to -), and then strip the wire ends and either
solder the correct wire to the Polk + and - connectors or crimp them with a female connector for sliding on the Polk connectors.
Screw everything back together and your done.

Actually you do have to remove some backing from the foam
insulation that comes with the Polk speakers, and then stick
the foam around the speakers before you install them.

Also you have to line up the holes on the polk speakers
to the 3 holes of the Viper speaker covers. The Polks are
set up for installing with either 3 holes or 4 holes.

Use the correct size screw driver so you don't mar the black speaker covers and make the covers are tight but don't
overtighten and strip the screws.

Crank up the stero and then test left and right speakers to
make sure you don't have a loose connection or if the speaker is vibrating (i.e. loose) in the door frame. BTW, the speakers will vibrate the doors if the volume is cranked.

Enjoy.
