Popping out of 3rd gear?

Having trouble with my 96 GTS. Keeps popping hard out of third gear during normal acceleration. Not regularly but enough to be troublesome. Also has trouble going into third during power shifts. Car has 22k miles. I have extended warrantee. Is this covered? Any help would be appreciated.

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">Your powershifting comment leads me to believe the cause is bent aluminum shifter fork. Later trans had stronger steel forks. Would be covered, but I'd skip the powershifting comments when you bring it in....</FONT f>

My car does the same but it didnt start until I put the shorter shifter on.I just push into 3rd alittle harder and it seems to have solved the problem.
