I want to have my valve covers powdercoated silver to match my Roe S/C. It sounds like you should not sandblast them. If you strip them yourself what can be used? Just regular paint remover? Thanks...AL...

Let the powder coaters blast them, they have to be blasted anyway to coat them. The blasting forms micro pits that the powder melts into and forms the bond!

Save your time and money!

B4 you have them powdered do yourself a favor, strip paint with any stripper then wet sand them with 320 grit paper to get them smooth, because once powdered all the imperfection stand out like a sore thumb

Whatever you do, TAKE OUT THE BAFFLES AND CLEAN ANYTHING UNDER THEM...

I had about 1/2 pound of sand under the baffles, eventhough they were cleaned and cleaned in tank...

Here's mine, done and ready to go!
